Your First 30 Days in MLM and 2 Ways To Profit

“Network marketing gives people the opportunity, with very low risk and very low financial commitment, to build their own income-generating asset and acquire great wealth.” ~ Robert T. Kiyosaki, Entrepreneur and Author

So, you have joined a Network Marketing Company and you are excited about the potential to build a thriving business. Hopefully, you have a supportive team and  Company and there is a plan in place that you can duplicate. If so, now is the perfect time to consider what ACTION you have to take during the first 30 days to develop an income.

In the Network Marketing Industry, there’s basically 2 ways to generate an income. These are:

1. Retail

2. Recruiting

Although there are a few steps involved with each process, we’re going to focus on what you should know to get a jump start and  to turn a profit in the first 30 days to build your online business.

#1) Retail

When you attended your company meeting, or you were exposed to the opportunity, clearly there was  something that made you a believer with your company and what they’ve got to offer.

Whether it was the comp plan, the products or maybe the culture, you found something that you felt you could tell others to help impact their lives like yours was impacted.

When you are sharing your products or services and gaining customers, your passion, belief and enthusiasm are critical. However, there are several additional elements you’ll want to consider before climbing to the top of the mountain to spread the word about your Company and their products with the world, which are:

  • What need does your product or service provide to your customer?
  • Who wants what you have to offer and are they ready to buy today?
  • Why do they want it? (What benefit can they get from owning and buying your product or service?)
  • Why must they purchase it from you?

We are often convinced about the benefits of our company products and the way everyone could benefit from them. But, you want to think about the needs of your potential customers and exactly how their quality of life will be improved from buying the product or service.

But, at the end of the day…  in order to retail as much product as possible, you will have to implement the sales process, which is:

  • Create a rapport with all your potential consumers
  • Ask questions to establish a need
  • Listen
  • Share the way your product will solve their problem
  • Obtain the commitment and Close the sale

The more conversational that you are with all your prospects without trying to “push” the sale on them, the more you’ll find them closing themselves on the products by simply asking them the proper questions and allowing them the liberty to communicate and reveal to you just what their hot buttons are that you could sell them on!

#2) Recruiting

The actual leverage in building your organization is in developing a team of people which duplicate your efforts, while improving the volume and profits of your respective organization. This is truly the most feared part of the business because we sometimes associate our “new recruits” with family and friends that we assume could very well avoid us at the next family gathering.

Recruiting however, can be the most exciting part of the business when you “change your mindset” as to what recruiting  actually is. Although you’ve got personal numbers and goals you would like to meet so that you can earn a nice paycheck, recruiting shouldn’t simply be thought of as a payday. It’s actually the opportunity to impact and alter someone’s life, while opening a door to help them to discover financial freedom including a totally new way of life.

There’s a whole lot more to joining a Network Marketing business than making money. Of course that’s a critical component of why people join, but additionally, there are the benefits of connecting with positive people, enhancing self improvement and learning your weaknesses and strengths. There may also be the possibility to go to places you never imagined, perhaps even potentially work for yourself fully, without ever returning to clocking in at a Job.

The minute you can learn to interpret the benefits of your brand-new Network Marketing business, you will see that individuals are anxious to go with you to the next meeting, in order to meet some of the inspiring leaders that you’ve been boasting about. It is very important to tell the stories of others that have experienced success, if you don’t yet have your own stories, yet. It is also important to edify the Leaders in your business.

To recruit effectively, share the many benefits of being connected, rather then forcing them in for a paycheck. Being connected to a team of like minded entrepreneurs working together for a common goal is very appealing to help attract prospects into your business.

  1. Marc,
this is a wonderful overview of the proper beginning a real business at home. You have placed it in two steps that all may understand regardless of what level one comes from.

I agree, with both recruiting and sales. These are what it will boil down to creating a real business. This will have you understanding the basics with a strong team support. You will go far with these two steps along with the proper mindset. The attitude and clarity of understanding what your getting involved in here. You must be determined and focused on this is something you enjoy doing. You must love it and make it your lifestyle. Live it and breath it, I say.

Marc, your a great mentor and visionary. All are very fortunate to be in your presents. I appreciate all that you do for your readers and I. Looking forward to learning more on how you see things in our industry. Thank you for sharing real content to help all.

  2. One important thing to remember when recruiting for your business is to hire people who have the appropriate skills and hard worker to help you out in your business. And I agree with the fact that recruiting and sales is a great help to build a “real business”.

  3. Recruiting is sure a good thing to the success of the business. However, it will not be effective as it is if you will not recruit the right person for the job. So to ensure success, recruit the ones with the same thinking and work attitude as yours.

  4. Interesting post! I’m persuaded by the video. I feel like I can make use of this practical tips and advise for my business and even just to convince people about my idea. I’m empowered and I wanna try to work on this everyday. Thank you so much for this post.

  6. Hi Michelle,

Thanks so much for dropping by and leaving your comment…it is greatly appreciated.

It is important to have a system that will sift and sort your prospects and to interview them and let them know what is expected. We certainly want to help everyone to succeed and if you can plug your prospect into an easy to duplicate system, that is a key element.

But, I agree…you certainly want to attract prospects that will engage, be accountable and have the right mindset to build the business.

I hope you will visit again,
    Marc

  7. Hi Tony,

Thanks so much for dropping by and leaving your comment…it is greatly appreciated.

Absolutely, whether in the offline or online world, you certainly want to hire the people with the best skill set and desire to do the job.

But, when you are recruiting for your network marketing business, you also want to bring people into a system that is easy to duplicate and support and train them and give them the skills to succeed.

But, if they don’t show up and put in the effort and maybe the timing isn’t right, then you don’t want to put a lot of energy into training and you want to reward those that deserve the support.

    To your success,
    Marc

  8. Hi Bill,

Thanks so much for dropping by and leaving your comment…it is greatly appreciated.

You find many people in the Industry that don’t like to use the words recruit and sell, because it tends to scare people off because they don’t consider themselves to be a salesperson or a recruiter.

It is so important these days to be an attraction marketer and add value and be a Mentor with a Servant’s heart.

But, all you are really doing is sharing a product or service that you know will hep others to achieve success in the Industry and providing info. about your business or service.

We certainly DON”T want to make it all about selling and recruiting. We want to really listen to our prospects and customers and offer real value and help them with the proper solution to their problem.

But, if you can connect with people and help them to develop into Leaders, then at the end of the day, you can feel real good about yourself.

    To your continued success,
    Marc
